Ummm.... I'm not bored!!!!

These are classic! This is Jake at his baseball game last week. He was in the outfield during the first half - and it can get a little boring out there - because not too many kids can hit the ball that far yet. Notice at first he's smiling and happy to be out there......
Now the dirt looks a little more interesting than the game......
Yes, the dirt is still a lot better..........
Now he is really bored and decides to lay down and watch the game (which is still going on - but the ball hasn't come his way yet!) So Tanner decided to go out there and join him in the middle of his game! At least Tanner thought is was pretty cool to be out there with his big brother! Notice the excitement in their faces!!! :) (This is such a great picture! I think I am going to blow it up and put it up in their room!!!)
Jake actually does love baseball - despite his excitement in these pics - and he's getting pretty good at it too!

I can't say my S's

Tanner makes me laugh every day!!! With Courtney and Jake gone at school all day - it's just Tan and me! I don't think there could be anyone funner to hang out and play with!

I love the way he talks! He cannot say his S's when they are at the beginning of most words.

For example:

Tanner: Am I going to cool today mom?
Which means: Am I going to school today mom?

Tanner: Where's my piderman?
Translated: Where's my spiderman?

Tanner: Can I have a fruit nack?
I'm sure you can figure this one out: Can I have a fruit snack?

Tan: Can I have a poon with my O-ert?
Translated: Can I have a spoon with my yogurt?

He is so much fun! I don't want to forget the fun things he says. Hopefully before he goes to Kindergarten he will learn to say his S's!

I also learn a lot from him - the other day as he was running to go to the bathroom I hear him yell my name, "MOM" "MOM" ""#2 is poop!" "MOM" "MOM" "#2 is poop"

Thanks Tan! I really wanted to know that!

Wyoming

We went up to Wyoming 2 weekends ago. Jake was brave enough to sit on Slim by himself for some pictures. Then Porter, Jake and I went for a ride down the street. (I thought I was being brave to go for a ride - it's not my best thing- Porter wishes I was a little tougher.) Anyways, we were only up there for a short 2 days, but we had a lot of fun. Courtney wishes she could live up there and work with her grandad - who is a vet - everyday. She loves anything involving animals, the clinic, surgery, blood, sickness ....... you name it, she loves it all. I'm sure someday she'll follow in her grandad's steps.
Finally able to get away from the city and relax ..... Oh Wait ...... he's doing business on his cell phone! Next time I'll just have to hide it! Poor Jake, Port was on his phone the whole ride, but he still had fun!Courtney in Grandma Cynde's scrubs ready to go work with Grandad. Jake got some good basketball time in! Tanner giving me a big smile with a mouth full of fruit snacks!!! Gross!Tanner was being so funny, so I just kept taking pics!

Darby got fixed by Mark up in Wyoming - with the whole family watching! (Thanks Mark!) So she wasn't feeling too great, but Jake and Tanner were giving her lots of love.
Grandma Cynde's beautiful flowers! Her yard always looks so amazing.

Jake lost his 1st tooth!!!

Jake lost his first tooth while we were in Park City! It was about 11 p.m. and he didn't want to go to sleep because he thought he would swallow it but he didn't want to pull it out either because he thought it would hurt. So Brenda and I spent the next hour trying to convince Jake to just pull it out!!! Once he finally pulled it out he was so excited! Jake was pretty happy the tooth fairy was able to find him - even though he was in Park City.

Jake's new smile!!! :)

Brenda helping Jake write on his sack to put his tooth in.

"Jacob first tooth Park Sity"
Tanner didn't want to miss all the action, so he kept showing us all of his 'loose teeth'.

Labor Day Weekend

We spent Labor Day weekend up in Park City with my family. We stayed in a condo up by the Olympic Park. We had so much fun!!! Saturday morning Brenda, my mom and I went up to Swiss Days and found a lot of cute things to buy - while the boys and the kids went swimming. Everyone brought a bike and we all went on several fun bike rides. We went down the alpine slide and on the new mountain roller coaster. Everyone's favorite was the coaster, even Tanner loved it - he screamed the whole way down! We ate at some fun restaurants and just hung out and played games. This is the second year we have done this, I think it will be a family tradition (although, last year doesn't really count for me because I just had my tonsils out and I don't really remember it)!!!

This is all of us eating out at an Italian place!

Oh la la...... (Just a few more weeks until the wedding)

hanging out at the condo......

Tanner with his first pair of flip flops! Now it's all he wears.

One afternoon we went up to the Olympic Park and they were having a tournament with all the best lady ski jumper's in the world. It was so amazing to watch!!! I don't know how they do what they do. They had a band playing and tons of things for the kids to do. Courtney and Jacob were having a great time trying the luge, ski jumping and the skeleton. They also had a museum there with tons of cool things. It was a great day, until when we were ready to go -there was a huge thunder, lightning and hail storm. But it left the best rainbow I've ever seen.

Truth or Dare???

We played truth or dare with our family the other night! Jake chose a dare and he had to stick his head in a sink of ice cold water for 1 minute. He did awesome! After he did it once he wanted to do it again!

Porter chose a dare and the kids wanted him to yell as loud as he could outside that he was a "screaming chicken". Of course Tanner thought that was pretty cool and also yelled he was a "screaming chicken" as loud as he could. I'm sure our neighboors think we are really weird!

Finally it was Courtney's turn and she chose to do a dare, then Porter dared her to eat dog food and that was the end of our game! She did not want to do that!!! She dared Porter to do it and he wouldn't do it either because he said it wasn't his dare. But we all knew, he was not tough enough to do it either!
